Mama’s Meatballs


MAMA’S MEATBALLS

Meatball mix:
1 lb hamburger
1/2 lb. sausage
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1 clove minced garlic
¼ c parmesan cheese
1 c. bread crumbs
2 tbsp basil
1 tbsp parsley
Salt and pepper

Mix mixture and roll into walnut sized balls. (I do about 1 tbsp). Fry.

Sauce:
1 lb. hamburger
1 diced onion
1 minced clove garlic
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato juice
1 tsp basil

Simmer then add cooked meatballs.

Haylee’s Note:
These meatballs are really good as sandwiches (just put on a toasted bun and top with a slice of mozzarella cheese) or over spaghetti sprinkled with parmesan.
