Cucumber Sandwiches Canapes


CUCUMBER SANDWICHES CANAPES

1 loaf Hollywood bread
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 long English cucumber or 2 cucumbers, scored down the sides and sliced into ½ inch rounds
Dill Dip (See below)

Trim crusts from bread and spread slices with softened cream cheese. Cut each slice into four square pieces. Top with a cucumber slice. Add dollop of Dill Dip.

Dill Dip
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
4 T finely chopped green onions
2 T dried dill weed
½ t salt
2 t Worcestershire sauce
Dash of pepper
Firm squeeze of lemon

Combine all ingredients. Chill for flavors to blend.

Haylee's Note:
These Sandwiches are delicious!! When mom and I made these for the granddaughters teaparty--they were by far the favorite! You can either cute them small for an appetizer, or keep them big for a yummy lunch! (We like to do them in shapes either with cookie cutters or with a knife) Mmmm....I think I could go for some right now!!
