Heather’s Larbgai Lettuce Wraps


Mix and Set aside:

1 lb. ground turkey or chicken
1 tbsp Fish sauce
¼ c. cilantro (chopped)
¼ tsp Tamarind (Mexican fruit) coolaid

Larbgai Sauce:

1/4 c. hoisen sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 c. soy sauce (I would do 1/4 c. or less)
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. lime juice
1/8 tsp. Lemon zest

2 tbsp oli
1 glove garlic, minced
1/4 c. chopped red onion
1/4 c. sauce
2 tsp basil fresh or 1 tsp dried basil
1/2 c chopped water chestnuts
Meat mixture that was previously set aside

Dish on lettuce (iceberg lettuce)
Serve with sauce and rice

Haylee’s Note:
Again, another Heather recipe. Sooo yummy!! I really like hoisen sauce so when I do the actual wrap I like to put the hoisen straight on. Also, when making the sauce, I would only do ¼ c. of the soy sauce. Thanks Heather for yet another winner!
