Darin’s Home-made Root Beer


5 gallons luke-warm water
5 pounds sugar
1 bottle root beer concentrate
1 packet yeast

Mix yeast with one cup of warm water and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients and add yeast. Pour into bottles that can be sealed. Let sit for 2-3 days or until it reaches the desired amount of carbonation. Refrigerate.

Haylee’s Note:
This in not you Halloween Root Beer with dry ice. This is the kind of root beer that puts hair on your chest. I am yet to meet a Gunnerson that doesn’t love this drink. My mom and Grandpa love it too. It is growing on me, but I don’t like to kiss Darin after he has enjoyed a bottle.
