Stromboli

STROMBOLI

1 tbsp. yeast
1 1/3 c. warm water
2 tbsp. oil
3 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tbsp. salt

Mix yeast and warm water. Add oil and mix. Add 2 cups of flour and salt then mix. Add another cup of flour then mix. Add more flour until the dough isn’t sticky. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour. Cut dough in 1/2 and add place on a greased cookie sheet. Add toppings (varieties of cheeses and meats—you can add a few veggies but don’t do too many or it will get soggy). Fold dough over toppings. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes or until crust is brown. Serve warm and dip in a marinara sauce.

Haylee’s Note:
I got this recipe from one of my neighbors when I was down at BYU. It was delicious! You can either make two separate Stromboli or use the dough to make breadsticks. For this one I layered ham, cheddar, pepperoni, and mozzarella. You definitely need to give this one a try!! It is delicious!
