Hawaiian Chicken




HAWAIIAN CHICKEN

2 pounds chicken
1 can (16-oz size) pineapple chunks, drained
1 can (15 oz size) mandarin oranges, drained
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground (or finely chopped) ginger

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in the crock pot. Stir well. Cover and cook on Low for 4-5 hours or High for 2-3 hours

Haylee’s Note:
I got a recipe similar to this one from a random website then I made a few changes. I didn’t drain my fruit, and I also added soy sauce and a little salt and pepper. I thought it was very good! I really liked the sauce on the rice!! You can serve it with regular rice or coconut rice. To go to the original recipe click here.
