Whole Wheat Nutmeg French Toast


2 eggs
1 T water
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
4 pieces whole wheat bread

Mix egg mixture and dip bread in covering both sides. Cook on medium heat until golden brown. Top with powdered sugar, butter, and maple syrup.

Haylee's Note:
This same recipe can be used for white bread. I just love the nutmeg in it. One thing my mom does to her french toast that is really good is when one side of the french toast is done, she spreads the butter with a little butter and powdered sugar while it is still over the heat. She also prefers texas toast. Enjoy!
