Darin’s Home-made Root Beer

DARIN’S HOME-MADE ROOT BEER

5 gallons luke-warm water
5 pounds sugar
1 bottle root beer concentrate
1 packet yeast

Mix yeast with one cup of warm water and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients and add yeast. Pour into bottles that can be sealed. Let sit for 2-3 days or until it reaches the desired amount of carbonation. Refrigerate.

Haylee’s Note:
This is not your normal Halloween Root Beer with dry ice. This is the kind of root beer that "puts hair on your chest."  I am yet to meet a Gunnerson that doesn’t love this drink. My mom, her brothers, and my Grandpa Welling love it too. This recipe is not for everyone, but one our family wants to save for the generations!
